Bayern Munich forward Jamal Musiala is set to undergo surgery for a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his right knee, according to reports from Germany.
The injury occurred during the Champions League match against Manchester City last month and Musiala was forced off with the injury after just 12 minutes of the game.
Musiala had been one of the standout performers for Bayern this season, scoring four goals in seven games before the injury.
The German newspaper Bild reported that Musiala's surgery will be performed by Dr. Jörg Schmid in Berlin.
The 19-year-old has been ruled out for six months following the ACL tear and it remains to be seen when he could return to action.
