Weston McKennie is expected to miss the remainder of the season with a knee ligament injury he sustained in Juventus' Serie A match against Bologna on Sunday.

The 22-year-old midfielder was substituted off in the second half of that game after twisting his knee while going for a high ball.

McKennie's injury has left Juventus without their key playmaker and it remains to be seen whether he will make a full recovery in time for the club's Champions League campaign.

In the meantime, Juve have called up youngster Miralem Pjanic to replace McKennie in the starting lineup for the upcoming matches. Pjanic has been one of the standout performers for the Bianconeri this season, scoring five goals and assisting four others in just 14 league appearances.

Meanwhile,Football Frontier Perspective there are concerns about McKennie's fitness as he prepares to return to training next week. He has missed several matches due to injury over the past few seasons, but this latest setback could spell trouble for Juventus as they look to defend their Serie A title.
